App for iPhone makes video conferencing even easier

VisionsConnected, TANDBERG Platinum partner for telepresence and video conferencing, is introducing an extremely user-friendly iPhone app for video conferencing: the VC Dialer. This application enables any TANDBERG system to be operated via the Apple iPhone and iPad, making communication and video conferencing even easier. With this iPhone app users working in a variety of locations always have the video conferencing addresses of their personal contacts at hand. Together with the details of the various TANDBERG systems within the company, these details can be entered to launch an immediate video conferencing session. The user selects the system from which the session needs to be initiated, and then simply chooses the number to be called from the list of personal contacts, or uses the keyboard of the iPhone/iPad to enter it directly.

Using the current remote control can be difficult for users, for example when importing a destination which has its name in the form of an e-mail address. A user can add his own contacts in just two simple steps, so that he no longer has to depend on the address book stored on the video conferencing system in the meeting room. The application works with current and previous generations of Tandberg video systems, TANDBERG Profile, EX90, C90, C60, C40, C20, E20, and the MXP series.

The VC Dialer app, exclusively for TANDBERG systems, can be downloaded from today for €5 from Apple’s app store. The first 1,000 downloads are free.
